Two things determine how well a car does on snow and ice, the tyres and the driver.
I have no problems with mine, but then I have good tyres and and almost 50 years of driving on all terrains in all sorts of vehicles. Grin

My MV6 made the corner on the ice yesterday, unlike the car behind and the car in front. Opps.

I have big fat tyres on, so far from ideal, but it still behaves when I want it to.

Chuck some junk in boot, have good quality tyres, let 2 or 3 psi out, and drive smoothly. Omega is fine Smiley
