Really cold... driving in snow...
23. Dec 2009 at 08:00

-12C driving to work today, and think freezing fog, each day seems to be more of a rally stage than the last.

Incidentally, there's been quite a lot of discussion about driving Omegas in the snow and how good or bad they are. I'm amazed at the difference the snow button makes on the auto; driving out of the work car park without it on was nigh on impossible but as soon a it is set the car cruised out with hardly a hint of wheelspin. I know it only starts in third instead of first but it is remarkably effective even with old tyres like mine has. I imagine it is quite hard to modulate the power in a manual with a big engine.....?

Also cruised past my neighbour who was stuck on our icy hill in his Mondeo this morning - again hardly a hint of wheelspin but he couldn't move. Front wheel drive, pah! Grin

Do you break V6's as often as TheBoy? Then you need tunnie's towing services, recovery costs are just the humiliation of being towed by 2/3's of an engine
