It rained at 6am this morning and the rain froze, so to be expected I suppose. Still a little dissapointed though.

Manual or auto?

Still a dedicated manual gearbox enthusiast for the real driver involvement bit but, in terms of sheer 'lets get to work' factor, the autobox with the snow function really works for me.

To say i am pleasantly surprised is an understatement.

We get snow up here perhaps more regularly than you southern 'cheps' and its behaved faultlessly and with no small level of fun. Wink

I must say, apart from an incident meaning I could only reverse up my drive, the MV6 auto has behaved impeccably in this weather, despite cars spinning off all around me.

Dec 2009 at 10:18 I find the 3.2 auto very controllable. No need for the snow mode in most cases. The driveway has been challenging a few times, mainly because I can't carry enough speed into it. Filling the boot with logs and bags of coal was a good move. Kevin

Dec 2009 at 11:26 Mine has been stuck 3 times, twice in the same place All in reverse. Our road is sheet ice... Can barely walk on it but the car just pulss along no problems at all, which is more than can be said for the FWD cars that are struggling
