This thread will get nuked.  TheBoy as often said this is a car forum and is for the buying and selling of Omega parts/cars only.

I would argue this is perfectly Omega related and relevent, on the basis it is suitable for running a cheapo Tech2 for Omega disagnostics, or, as the OP states, Omega LPG mapping - which lots of Omega owners (icluding myself) need.

PM sent Martin, your ad had enough exposure to make you a sale (which, as it happens, will be put to use on an Omega).  Thumbs Up!

This is exactly what I want, for OMEGA Diagnostics  Thumbs Up!

Maybe so LD, but I'd still argue this is directly Omega related  Thumbs Up!

I placed the original post as this was specifically targetted at an LPG installer/user due to the presence of a serial port.

I had a couple of other options to dispose of this obsolete kit and felt that there could still be life in the PC for this application as there are previous posts in a different section relating to this issue and the requirement for such hardware.

Whilst I could have started a "I'm throwing away a laptop" thread;
a) I didn't think of that one
b) I wasn't trying to circumvent forum rules.

I had not read the "selling" rules recently, (my error) and considered that this would pertinent to the interests of the forum members.

my apologise for any distress caused by the original post.

I agree actually... 15 months ago, when I didn't have a working laptop, I'd have jumped at this and, TBH, if you hadn't beaten me to it I probably still would have Wink Wink Thumbs Up! Thumbs Up!

No distress caused and, as James has already stated, it is an Omega part... Serial port needed to run Cheapo Tech 2 properly and some LPG software (as you stated in the original ad) Thumbs Up! Thumbs Up!

Oh... And I like answer a Grin Grin Thumbs Up! Thumbs Up!
