Will keep my trap shut in future then, only pointed out what Jamie has posted in the past.  If I were to be pedantic, then it aint an item sold by vauxhall for any Vx car.  So that now leaves the forum wide open to abuse.

Which is all my point was.   Lips Sealed

Neither is a cam locking kit, would you complain if someone was selling one of those?

Only just seen this.

Difficult one to decide, as it could be directly car related. For example, if I sold a Tech2, this would be relevant section. And a serial port laptop is relevant to car diags, and are getting rarer these days.

Though this would open floodgates, as everyone will be trying to sell every PC on here if we're not careful.

Personally, I'd nuke it, but would have to discuss with other mods. BUt in this case, looks like its sold anyway, so pointless to mod now.

Maybe be it would have been better posted in the test section as an Omega test item then nuked as soon as sold, then there is no history to open future discusions on.

Its an area the admins will have to have a chat about, once the holidays are finished, and normality returns

If it were something obviously not related to Omegas, such as a flatscreen TV, etc, then I agree it should be nuked.

In circumstances whereby it has a direct relevence to Omegas (regardless of whether the item is vauxhall derived) I very strongly maintain it should be allowed.

Let's face it, we're not a huge forum, I'd be disappointed if some discretion can't be applied to things people may find useful to their cars  Thumbs Up!

All interesting points.  So to iron it out I should have said it was not an item to be fitted to an Omega, which then is the same arguemnt the timing lock kit.

So my rule of thumb would be to make sale items for sale or wanted as car parts/trim etc that belong to the Omega.

As for flat screens, yes they can be fitted to cars, have you ever seen pimp my ride.  Or even http://www.omegaowners.com/forum/YaBB.pl?num=1261435703/all ; scroll down to reply 18 onwards.

Still say the test area is the best place for obsure posts, then it doesnt open the gates for all sorts of items that then would be classed as "Omega" parts etc.

Has been discussed in the past (would suit me personally) but ,understandably the admins are not in favour as they have enough hassle and headaches from the for sale sections already in use. Thumbs Up!

Like TB, spotted this thread too late to do anything about it.

As to a seperate sales section for assorted bits and bob, e.g. fishtanks, the answer is a resounding NO.  been discussed to death previously, possibly prior to you being active on the forum.  We (admins and buyers) have enough fun and games with stuff directly related to Omega's where the deals fall through and the buyer is ouit of pocket.

Agree, its a thin line for this particular item as to whether it is or is not Omega related.  Either way, its either been sold or removed from sale so discussion no longer relevant.

locking.....   Thumbs Up!
