Who can replace my cambelt ???

Hi Folks

Need a cambelt changing on my
2.2 lpg  cd  saloon 2003 Omega
Its now done 40 k since I last had it done

Do not want to waste my dosh at the usual place

Any ideas and costs involved.

Near Heathrow weekdays and Brackley weekends

I have done 2.2 belts, but i can never get the feker back around the tensioner on my own  Angry

Do you break V6's as often as TheBoy? Then you need tunnie's towing services, recovery costs are just the humiliation of being towed by 2/3's of an engine

I would imagine that the 2.2 is the same as the 2.0.
I found that the easiest way was to leave the Idle
Pulley next to the tensioner off. Fit the rest of the
belt, position the idler into the belt, push on the idler
so that it takes up all the slack and then it pops onto
its mounting, complete with belt, fairly easily.

Worth a try next time you do one.  Thumbs Up!

Yeah thats what was done last time, problem was it was so tight, pushing the idle tensioner on was almost impossible.
