Do you break V6's as often as TheBoy? Then you need tunnie's towing services, recovery costs are just the humiliation of being towed by 2/3's of an engine

Yeah make sure you also LPG it or get the 2.2 diesel version.

Depends on your wallet & if it matters to you whether you want it on show.
Cheaper towbars are 2" box section that's bolted the the underside of the car and come with a 2 bolt flange type ball. OE Bosal have a large plate inside the boot floor that all the major bits hang from and usually have a swan neck bar and look a little neater than the box section type. Detachables are similar to the Bosal ie there's a plate in the boot floor again and the ball is ..... er  Roll Eyes detachable  Grin
The 12n electrics are fed via a socket/plug in the back of the car, although you'll find that towbar 'specialists' will want to cut this off & to use the varios supplies. Vauxhall did wire the car up to enable you to extend the brake light check to your trailer via a 'relay' that lives behind your glove box and feeds the yellow/black wires at the above socket/plug.
12S socket requires a 12 volt supply for the fridge switched when the engine is running, you can use a voltage sensitive Smartcom relay (this is similar clicky) Just check the requirements of your caravan as later caravans (97/98 on?) have a 'habitation relay' in them that switches a permanent 12 volt supply from the car to use to charge the battery.

2 things i don't like about my omega, the towbar, which i'll never use, and the aftermarket boot spoiler that looks like a boomerang, apart from that, happy days.

I have a fixed flange towball to which my bike rack is secured and I can still tow at the same time. Detachable towballs when used to carry bikes on a bike rack cannot be used to tow with as the rack sits on the ball.

Secondly I prefer fixed type since it saved my car when some bas*%ard reversered into it, bending a 7mm metal plate (bike rack foot) and scuffing the bumper.

Without the towbar and bike rack foot it would have been new bumper and boot and the git didn't leave me their details..........now there's a new thing (not).

Just watch your shins though, they're not called shin breakers for nothing!!!!!!!!!!!!! Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy
