Outside temp sensor wanted
26. Jan 2010 at 09:24

Not sure if the sensors I've got are faulty or there's a bad connection in the connector that plugs into it. Tried fitting a spare sensor I had but still no function.
Has anyone got a spare sensor with connector they could sell me?
Cheers, Bob

Only from what I've learned on here, but I think there's another connector a few feet further back from the actual sensor that has a habit of corroding. A new sensor is only about £6 though  Wink  Thumbs Up!

It did but it corroded again so I've since cleaned and redone the connection but still no function. I suspect it may be the connector that plugs into the sensor. If it's not the sensor or connector then I'm at a bit of a loss as to why it won't function unless as Andy said in his post, there's another sensor further back. Undecided

Undecided I said there's another connector further back ...... but you already seem to know about it!  Wink  Thumbs Up!  Thumbs Up!  Thumbs Up!
you could always chop the connector out and join/solder the wires directly to each other  Undecided

Thanks Andy but if there was another connector, it's already been chopped out as the only connector there now is the one I put in.

I had to bypass the connector further back to get my external temp sensor working.
