As some of you know, Daz changed amongst many other things last week, both the front wishbones, which has cured the knocking I was getting on speed bumps and under braking. However I still get a creak from the front when going over the speed bumps in our estate, but only when the car is first started. On the way home I don't get the noise. Thinking the drop links on the front need to be changed also, but could it also be the coils? I just find it odd it only happens after the car has been standing a while.

This may sound odd but i used to get this on an old bmw i had years ago .... it turned out to be something about a damp or dry bush Shocked

( nothing worse than a dry bush Shocked

) ... I just cant remember what it turned out to be but it only ever did it when the car was first driven like you say. Eventually something was changed on the car suspension side and it disappeared ... sure it may have been track control arm Thumbs Up!

Feb 2010 at 20:46 Just to make you feel better mine does exactly the same as yours, creeks in the morning, like me , but not their later on in the day. Only in the winter so must be somthing to do with the cold.
