Do you break V6's as often as TheBoy? Then you need tunnie's towing services, recovery costs are just the humiliation of being towed by 2/3's of an engine

Just got back from walking Holly dog, we went thro local woods as far as the M4 and back. The M4 was very noisey, with the roar of motorbikes. Also noisey with the police helicopter buzzing around.

"oh ffs! - roads shut.....again - we'd move if anyone actually wanted to live here - but no every feckin week some mob or other is marching up the high street! close the door, pull the curtains and turn the telly up honey"

i truly feel sorry for the good residents of WB - lets have a parade up the high street in their honour  Thumbs Up!

Angry

If they want to, I'm sure they are capable of feeling sorry for themselves. As it happens, it appears that most are supportive:

Local MP James Gray said people in the town appreciated the gesture and were "very supportive of it indeed".

He added: "Initially when I heard about this I was worried about it because I thought, 'well, it's going to be an enormous amount of noise'.

"But what people said to me was, 'well, look, this is going to raise something like £75,000 altogether for this brilliant charity, Afghan Heroes.'"

Been up to the main road today for several hours .. fantastic sight, and the pavements are lined with folks applauding the bikers.

The atmosphere is excellent with lots of banter, especially for the 2 "Mods" in full kit who were stood near us ... really impressive and a tad emotional at times.

The majority of Bassett folks have no problems at all with the repatriation parades, or the tributes like this one .. when they are GENUINE .. it is the idiots that try and make things political, and/or a "press call" that piss us off.

This is easily seen by the huge number of "bassetteers" who line the streets on every occassion .. and I DON'T just mean those in the town centre,  the whole route through the town, right the way to J16 of the M4 has people paying their own tribute ... miles away from the bloody cameras ( which I think should be banned  .. or limited to a single one doing a "feed" for all stations)

So Banjax .. sorry mate .. you are totally wrong on this one.

i take your point but it's gotta be a minority of residents who line the route - not saying all who don't are pee'd off but they can't all find it convenient surely? i know i'd get sick of it - and you're right about the politicization and the press calls - i'd hate to see wb recent honourable tradition taken over by every idiot with a point to make about something - but hey its a democracy last time i looked so each to their own.  Thumbs Up!
