Well, I went to my first 'meet' today, a joint affair between OOF & Autobahnstormer members near Hartlepool. I turned up at the appointed time 12noon? to find only one other there from the other Forum. Me & Swmbo had been waiting for someone else to turn up when at 12:35pm my mobile rang, it was my mother in Law in a panic (she's 84). She had fallen at home & couldn't get back up!
Bang went my Sunday!, we dashed across to her house, only a few miles away to find her flat on her back with stuff scattered everywhere. Thankfully she wasn't really hurt, only bruised, shaken up and tearful. We spent the next few hours cooking her lunch, tidying up & talking, until she had calmed down sufficiently for us to come away without further worry.
So, what did I get out of today? Well, I had washed & polished the car, deloused the interior & it was smelling like new, so I enjoyed my time driving it  Oh, and the old adage 'Blood is thicker than Water' was reinforced. There's nothing more important than Family, not even it seems, an OOF meet!

So where was this advertised, no mention of a Hartlepool meet in the meetings section only up the road from me.........
