Header tank
31. Mar 2010 at 19:34

I have a slight coolant leak which I'm hoping to investigate soon, and will also do a coolant change. Thought that would be an opportune time to clean the header tank as it is filthy. Has anyone any recommendations? Or would I be better leaving it alone? Cheers  Thumbs Up!

Do you break V6's as often as TheBoy? Then you need tunnie's towing services, recovery costs are just the humiliation of being towed by 2/3's of an engine

They never really clean well. A few small pebbles in it, shacking vigourously for a few mins gets the crud out, but it remains stained brown.  Dishwasher doesn't touch them - not that I would know Roll Eyes Roll Eyes  (ssshhh, dont tell the old bag!)

£24 + VAT trade for new v6 one

Not 100%. I've broken 2 cars now, both petrols and ended up with one of each.
