Has anyone got an aux coolant pump plus its hoses, mounting thingy & a short bit of cable with the connector at the end?

Actually, I want to put one in! I'm convinced that my main water pump is U/S so was hoping that an aux pump whould provide enough circulation to get to to my mates place for the big repair - i.e. without being towed there!

Probably a stupid idea anyway - what do you think?

All the additional pump does is circulate it into the heater matrix.. so I can't see it making any difference, if I'm honest...

Agreed, but if the heater is on full blast it gets rid of a fair bit of heat from the engine.  In the good old days it was a frequently used ploy to help control an overheating engine.

I thought the aux coolnent pump circulates the coolent after the engine is switched off, so it all cools down quicker while the fans are still running. 

Is this not the case then??  Undecided

You're right & James is right, but you're both talking about different pumps.  Wink
the pump at the front is to do what you say. The other on the driver's side inner wing (IF fitted0 does what James says  Thumbs Up!  Thumbs Up!  Thumbs Up!

i think we got to approx 4 pumps on stripping the 3.2 yesterday, they are bloody everywhere!
