As I understand there's a website you can get them from Deutchland for very reasonable money but I can't remember how to find the ...... thing.

Thanks Gents,

I've had a look at the site and the prices look sound! It's a bit more difficult to see what I need though than I remember. I thought there was a joint between the down pipes and cats. As far as I see to get the cat you need to buy the down pipe as well!

I'll have to get under tomorrow whatever the weather's like.#

Comes straight up but a little more expensive than Eternalcar. I think I've got a "rattly cat" though. That could blow the budget!! I'm off to the pub to contemplate...

The downpipes & cats on my first Omega (1994 2.5 V6) were still fine after 200,000 miles (although the heat shields had disintegrated and fallen off ) What you may need to do is drill out the fixing bolts when they shear off in the downpipe/cat flanges

Nov 2010 at 14:55 Just to update: I bought 2 central silencers and the back box from eternal car for 75 quid. 6 quid for new fittings and it cost me 24 to get it delivered. It did take 7 days instead of 5 but I got it on OK and MOT'd it a few days after without any problems. Thanks everyone for the usual first-class information.
