as you probally know i have fitted a new washer bottle sensor/float, when starting car up all i get on display is brake light check (normal) but when turning car off i get the washer level low, this only comes up on turning off the car   any ideas  Huh by the way washer bottle is full  Thumbs Up!

have you tested the sensor,,, Undecided
maybe faulty

I am getting this on start up, as well as brakelight check and washer bottle is defrosted and full, why?

my float switch sensor is
new
freecall also if the switch was damaged, seeing as its only a float switch on/off i would get the level warning on start up not just on turning car off  Huh

Errr, that is incorrect...  ...Check Brakelight, if it doesn't go out, will be brake switch.

Brake Light is a bulb/circuit fault.

no ideas about the washer level only coming up on switch off jamie  Huh its baffling me    Roll Eyes
and its only on turning ignition off, like the other warnings that remind you that you havent done anything about them, doesnt come up on start up or whilst the car running  Huh Huh

some faults maybe still in the display, so on switch off it displays them, so may just need a rest

Can you get a meter across the sensor, just to prove it?

ok i have replaced the new float switch with a secondhand one from scrappie and now everything is working fine, as said jamie very odd as the sensorfloat swich is basically an on/off switch  Shocked
but as said seems to working now  Thumbs Up!

Would this have been removed for the head gasket work to be done, as mine has only started doing this since I had work done on the car...
