Omega Owners Forum - Timing on mv6

unlucky mark mv6 Omega Baron Offline Posts: 2110 tipton,west mids Drives: 3.2 mv6 and saxo vtr,well the missus does.	Timing on mv6 12. Jan 2011 at 21:56 Is there anyway to tell if the timing is out on a 3.2 without stripping it?,or what else could be the cause of high fuel consumption?.

Either via tech2, or a good blip of the throttle and watch them actuate, so on the 3.2 an assistant will be needed, throttle cable cars can no blipped from the engine bay but not drive by wire.

Although violent blipping of the throttle may not be such a good idea if the cam belt is suspect for obvious reasons. So up to you. Maybe a thorough inspection of vac pipes and electrical connectors instead? Undecided
