Facelift Irmscher Estate Owners...
13. Jan 2011 at 19:23

I'm after the chaps that have the Irmscher twin exhaust on their estates mainly...

Is there any chance you could post a picture of the route the exhaust takes under the boot floor?

I bought an Irmscher twin back box off of RobG a while back and it was off of a saloon, now I'm aware i was taking a risk with it fitting but on examination of my boot floor i can't honestly see how the exhaust system fits?  The fuel tank is massive and situated right where I'm assuming the silencers would run either side of it?

Plus i have a tow bar to add to the lack of space!

Is a Powerflow my only option?  Or does the Irmscher system actually fit?

Cheers!

Paul.

Saloon twin back box won't fir an estate as the fuel tanks are in different places. The tow bar will also add to your misery. Best bet is to sell the irmy twin you have there and either look out for an estate irmy twin or get one made.

It's a completely different animal, the estate exit pipes are about 2 feet further apart than on the saloon, and you need the bumper to go with it.

I have one, but both tail-pipes come out of the same side. Exhaust system for sale soon.

I've only ever seen pictures of 'wheel barrow handle' twin exit exhausts for saloons, but the passenger side routes behind the actual bumper, so you'd not be able to fit it with your existing towbar.  Sad

I have the original Irmscher data sheets from when I was in the same groove as you, seem to remember I had to abandon it as the 2nd exhaust went across the back end under the bumper and won't allow a tow bar to be fitted, will be happy to post you these data sheets if you Pm me your address they are the Vauxhall/Opel/Irmscher install specs you'll need to read German, just found the exhaust data sheets for the exhaust there's a photo of the exhaust installed with bumper removed Thumbs Up!
