if a 3 litre v6 jumps a couple of teeth om the cam belt whats the chances of valve damage?.its ronning as rough as hell and weve checked every sensor and the coil pack and plugs and leads and everythings working as it should.and te belt jumping is all that it can be and it sounds tappy from the top end

take the EGR valve off, give it a good clean inside with carb cleaner, or you could just make a blanking plate up at its base. x2 torx bolts. this may sort you out.  Thumbs Up!

mmmmm
have you had owt to bits on the inlet/plenum. check all vac connections are tight. other than that, yes check the situation of the cambelt. if valves were hitting pistons then you would have a loud knocking not a tappy sound. i did manage to save a 3.0l that went a few teeth out. Thumbs Up!
