squeaky steering column (Read 349 times)

Zac Newbie Offline Posts: 36 Drives: 2000 X Omega 2.5 CD	squeaky steering column 18. Jan 2011 at 19:02 I've got a 2000 X plate omega and the column squeaks when I turn the wheel, Please somebody help as it drives me nuts?

Ive a steering wheel down my trousers....that drives me nuts Grin

and the serious answer
May be to do with your steering column, some were wrongly fitted in the factory, have a search on it, ill try and dig it out too, something to do with the tightning order

Both of my Omegas have squeaking columns. It stops after a few miles. I can only assume once the cabin temperature rises, expansion of the column parts stops this
