http://www.brandrepublic.com/go/news/article/1049680/ryanair-loses-boarding-pass...

i really would like to see ryanair put in it's place and that place in my opinion should be under a pile of dog shite as i think they have ruined the experience for many a traveller i know they're cheap blah blah but put one step wrong with them and it's going to hurt your wallet, i would rather have other airlines competing fairly and customers paying a reasonable price for a reasonable service.... o.k rant over!

I don't understand why so many people moan about Ryanair. There may well be valid complaints about service/charges, but if you don't like them, don't fly with them. No one's forcing you. Wink

The fact, though, is that many, many people do fly with Ryanair each year, and I don't see much evidence of them losing customers. Furthermore, they fly to a significant number of destinations which other airlines do not serve so no Ryanair, no go. The customer's choice.  Wink

i do agree they fly to many destinations that others don't but unfortunately in my opinion that doesn't let other airlines compete in a limited market, since they've been flying to salzburg austrian airlines has stopped flying to the u.k from there which whilst it may be great for those in the first year or so but try and find a return flight under 120 euro, i would rather pay the 160 for austrian airlines and fly with a bit of service but now have no choice in the matter.

Ryanair are complete and utter shite. I, for one, am never going to fly with them again, my family and I nearly missed our flight last year due to their lack of organisation and incompetence. We had to literally run across the tarmac to catch our flight with two very young kids in tow, and when you're on the plane, the experience is not much better Angry

I know they're cheap, but I'll pay the extra next time

I have vowed never ever to fly Ryanair, I have used Squeezyjet a couple of times to go sailing but I factor in a lot of what ifs to my timings.

Btw, my wife just got the bill for our flights to and from Hawaii over Christmas (business there and 1st class back)............

........$578!  Just thought I would share that Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

There are several places where Ryanair is the only choice so the consumer is stuffed.

I was working over in Northern Ireland for a while, and had to take my camera with me. They charged me £26 for the privilage, by a whole load of c**p, eg I booked on line, but because I was changing the terms, that was cancelled so I had to pay a re-booking fee, etc, etc.

Ryanair........no thanks.

Just tried to book a single fare from Warsaw (Poland) to London, for next week because of BA Strikes, thought I was doing well with Ryanair for a £32 fare till I tried to book it:-

1 x Flight Adult                144.00 PLN      £32
Taxes/Fees                      71.10 PLN       £16
1 x Web Check in             21.00 PLN       £5
1 x 1st Checked Bag         63.00 PLN      £14
1 x 2nd Checked Bag      147.00 PLN      £33
due to 15kg allowance
1 x Priority Boarding         16.80 PLN      No Thanks      £4
SMS confirmation               4.20 PLN      No Thanks      £1
1 pax Day (Insurance)      32.80 PLN      No Thanks      £7
Credit Card Admin Fee      21.00 Euros   £19
Ryanairs Crapy Exchange
Rate (calculated loss)                            £14

Total Cost                                            £133

So ended up booking on a Aer Lingus flight, two days earlier for £82 all in.  Thumbs Up!

"Ryanair will appeal this decision. Ryanair will be pointing out during the appeal that all passengers agree at the time of booking that they will check in online and print off their boarding cards at least four hours prior to scheduled departure.

But you are not given any other choice and you are still charged for the priviledge.
I unfortunately have no option but to use them as the only other airlines to fly where the in laws live would cost an arm and leg.
I hope they get told to get their act together.
another option is open internet cafes at the airports with print facilities and charge 10p to print out boarding passes from the website  Grin

Depends if there is a choice.

Also RA do some very strange rules, I am surprised they don't charge for toilets (IF I was in a position I would pee in the aisle)
