I had one fitted to my old Series III Landy; I always frightened myself by imagining how my forehead would look with that embedded in it!

Not every disabled driver use's them.  I drive with disabled drivers hand controls and I don't use one.

Learnt to drive without one as that's what my assessor advised me to do before I went to drive a test car, said they were dangerous.
Damn right to... if you don't use it 100% of the time, as if you try to use the wheel ordinary and the wheel spins around too quick, they don't have cause some bruising on the wrist bone, and cause a lot of loud swearing to 

People don't seem to be scared of my driving even though I don't use a steering ball though.
