I would check around your cam covers, and certainly have a look in a few spark plug holes.   There are many places oil can leak from of course, but the cam cover gaskets are one of the first places to start looking on a miggy!!

If they are leaking they need replacing, and the breather system cleaned in its enterity

That's an interesting question!

I personally have always relied on a visual and "touchy round the engine" check to find oil leaks, so never used anything else.

Perhaps someone on here knows of such a dye.
