changing springs is not a one man job without an apparat unless you are hercules..  Undecided

Rears on an Omega are normally a doddle.

I'm convinced I've forgotten to do something, no idea what though....

Sounds ok to me...

the only other thing I need, is generally someone to stand on the hub to help ease spring in / out....but estate springs are a little longer iirc so need the extra help.

I've had to lever them out that last little bit with a pry bar before, other occasions they practically fell out. I fully expect agro with my current car as it sits too high. Maybe it depends if the donut bushes are new? (makes mental note to do springs first and see)

But what's up with your subframe bushes? I assume you mean the dif ones, which where spotted when lpg'd....?

Sounds like you were missing a useless student and his driveway, be sides my far superior tools would have done the job  Roll Eyes  Cheesy  Grin

Anything LPG getting in the way of the diff dropping fully? LPG fuel line to your filler?  Undecided

Do you break V6's as often as TheBoy? Then you need tunnie's towing services, recovery costs are just the humiliation of being towed by 2/3's of an engine

I did wonder if the new bushes were a factor. Guess they need to be undone Sad

Diff bushes are worse than suspected. Know of a supplier?

That could be the basis of a plan...  ...esp if GayBoy Gixer could learn how to do rear bushes at the same time Grin

I'm not sure what I did wrong. I just couldn't get the subframe low enough, and not enough room to get compressors on it.

Only other one that has given my grief was AA's, but he had heavy duty springs, complete with spring assisters.

Had another go yesterday. Failed.

Even if I get old out, 'new' to the car look same length.  No room for compressors Sad

Looks like a previous owner has used a bar in the past, looks like one of the rust marks/dings lines up with where a crowbar would go  Angry

I reckon the doughnuts might have to be undone...  ...I'll have a chat with OOF closet gay over a curry at some point about it...

I spend whole friday afternoon and saturday for a fuel pump.. (free Grin because I found a nice and cheapo car for a friend Smiley and he paid my pump  Smiley

friday afternoon searched for the pump.. found 2 models.. become valid after I took it out..

being lazy to buy new clamps I used the originals.. Grin

saturday, after shopping miggy decided to rest in front of home.. I called the bosch pump service for guarantee they said bring it to us.. when I took out I saw the clamp holding the hose inside decided to quit the game Grin Embarrassed so called them again and told it was my fault..

but now solved the problem .. it was starting up a bit late when warm..

ps: the plastic casing where the pump sits was full of dirt and metal particles .. spend considerable effort to clean them Huh
