Do you break V6's as often as TheBoy? Then you need tunnie's towing services, recovery costs are just the humiliation of being towed by 2/3's of an engine

when i did mine i did it this way http://www.omegaowners.com/forum/YaBB.pl?num=1297536502 and with the weight sitting on the car put the compressors on then  let the hub drop i stood on the hub a little and they came out getting the new ones in were not so bad as they were irmschers so a little shorter and i must agree there was not so much room for the compressors i got one on the back of the spring upside down and one on the front right way up if that makes sense

the funniest thing about this particular signature is that by the time you realise it doesn't say anything it's to late to stop reading it

did my springs all round last week, no problems at all tbh.... and the ride hight is/was higher than spec. so presume longer springs. It did stress the unhooked exhaust though(wince)

was the car high enough so the wheels didnt hit the floor before the springs could be freed?  Roll Eyes

Wheels were removed, and I've only attacked driver side.  I'm wondering if the new doughnuts are stiffer, and not allowing suffiicent flex for the subframe to drop enough, esp as it wasn't really stressing the unclipped exhaust.

always remove the anti roll bar links and the trackbar on the rear meself, takes 2 seconds with the windy gun, belt with hammer and it drops out then rear shock off, dont need compressors on spring this way?

You forgot the brake lines Wink

antirollbar disconnected. track rod makes no difference if you lower the diff. Exhaust unclipped, brake lines unclipped.

According to the haynes manual you have to remove the HID Rear level sensor - there's no mention of this in mark's dtm guide or the above so do you remove it or not bother?

No need if following the guide as the arm remains within the designed range of movement, then the dif drop allows the subframe to move away "as a unit" from the chassis to get the springs out, hopefully. So the sensor is fine.

However if removing the arm or similar then obviously yes remove sensor. It's things like this that catch out the unwary, hence the guide is the recommended method. Master is always right very rarely wrong.  Wink
