I had my lovely Senny 24 valve at  22, another Senny at 25, my Elite at 27, now i've got my MV6 aswell! Old mans car no way.

That view is normally for the ignorant 'keeping up with the jones' sort who don't know their a**ehole from a decent car! The same idiots who pay £££££££££ to drive a shitbox fwd shed and know nowt about cars and get ripped off because of it! Makes me laugh!

It's not such an old mans car when it's easy to work on (and cheap-ish!), fast, comfy and versatile, and destroys gay boy racers in a straightline and through the twisties (even the elite!) WOOOOOOOOOOOO

I wouldn't say that the Omega was an old mans car. I started with an Opel Monza when I was 18 and had the the first of my Omegas as company cars when I was 22. I was covering 90K miles a year at the time and the difference between the Omega and Vectra was as clear as night and day. It was exactly the car I needed at the time and I had three of them in a row after that.

It's not for everyone I'll admit but the Omega simply feels less fatiguing to drive (even my DTi!) than Vauxhall/Opel's front wheel drive replacements. Something I feel that that Vauxhall and Opel lost after 2003. Cry

My other half hated my mig when i got it, She couldnt understand how i thought it looked nice lol. Although she likes it now its done up abit.

Im 24 now, I think the omega is for anyone, It can do everything and thats why i brought mine, Its not the fastest car ive owned but has plently of power to enjoy. Its driven by the correct wheels and drifts for fun. Also nice to be able sit back, relax, cruise and be super comfy on long trips, Can get everyone in when you want to go away etc. What more can you want from a car  Thumbs Up!

I've only recently turned 22 and owned my Omega for about 8 months now.

I still consider it an old man's car, makes sod all difference to me though. Tongue

I bought the car due its value, RWD, comfort, toys and engine.  No regrets.

I don't think anyone can really deny they have the appearance of an old man's car nowadays.  I'm 22 and I'm certainly not going to pretend it's the best car on the road.

I just bought mine as a run around and for your money, you'd struggle to get much more.

But I certainly don't expect to get any compliments on its looks or power.  Most things with decent power will beat them because they are simply huge cars and made for cruising, but are very good at it.

Any car can be fun/fast, it depends how fast you drive it  Wink

Eddi, no disrespect mate, but the V6's are in a different league to the desmonds, one of which you appear to own.
My 3.0 Elite has elicited many compliments on it's appearance, and only a few of them had their arms forced up behind their backs when they gave them
.... Cool

I do own a 'desmond' i.e. slowmobile omega.  I feel mine is unbearably slow.  But having owned a Vectra GSi V6 for a year and experienced a 3ltr V6 in a Vectra which is lighter than the Omega, I can't imagine them being as fast as they're made out to be by some on here.  But I'm sure they don't stick around by any means.
