Mar 2011 at 13:01 The boxes on the Omega are generally a lot easier to sort out because they are rear wheel drive and so dont have drive shafts comin out of them...probably a 2 man job though as the box itself is quite heavy to lift back into place...not got experience of a 2.2 but I would agree it should be pretty easy to do yourself...

How? If you dont mind me asking

The gearbox has to be removed, but then the TC is simply lifted out & replaced. as said, best to do a fluid change while you are at it. A second hand gearbox is a good option too, but will still take the same amount of time, plus transport costs.
