I was the owner of the faster MV6 Roll Eyes

Senator is infamous for window faults, BC faults, dash faults, central locking faults, cruise faults etc etc.

Senator and Carlton are not that far apart - share the chassis and the engines...


I think if you ragged one around now (with similar engine size to your Omega), you would be disappointed with performance and general ride.  If you're not, then buy it Thumbs Up!

So they said, but I had Senators for over 10 years and only had cruise problems and the usual crappy wiring to the stater via the inhibit & alarm relay etc. The red/black wiring to the above loom became pot hard.

you being the owner driver of the MV6 explains things a bit - your not known for being gentle and kind to your engines. Cheesy Grin Grin
The other bloke was probably concerned with the welfare of his pride and joy. Grin
I never had any of those faults with mine in 5 years. Only problem was a faulty relay.
If I found a really nice one (and could aford to put petrol in it) I would swap it for the Mig in a heartbeat.  Wink
