Vibration at speed
24. Mar 2011 at 22:22

Hi all,

My miggy has had quite a significant vibration for some time now, say from around 60mph upwards.

In the mean time its had 4 brand new tyres and new front discs.

I'm wondering if its a propshaft problem. Anyone any thoughts?

Thanks
Simon

could be, or just be badly balanced.

did they use a cone or stud balancer?

I had the same problem with mine, had the wheels balanced which cut the vibration down but did'nt cure it, i thought that there was a problem elsewhere so i just put up with it.
2 years later had both front tyres replaced which obviously included balancing, after that the vibration was gone. Needless to say they had'nt been done correctly in the first place.
