2.5v6  auto estate xreg
hi...everyone..
i need some more helpful advice ...
this week my car has started to have the odd problem starting, but only when hot... it normally sparks up first time, but the odd time i have had to keep turnin and try again etc... any thoughts please.... i have done the paper clip test and no fault codes showing

Probably overfuelling causing a bit of borewash.
Coolant temp sensor would be my first option

crank sensor could be on its way out. doesnt always throw a code up. Wink

cheers guys.. i keep hearing crank sensor,, what other faults does it cause.. was thinkin getting it changed anyway b4 it goes...

will get worse, to the point that it will cut out at any time when driving, shouldnt cause any other probs though apart from cutting out & eventual non start.

thanks ... is there a picture by picture on here on how to do... ..not sure where to find the crank sensor... and prices around £40 is that about right...

next to the oil filter, wires come up behind the intake plenum to connector.  Thumbs Up!
not sure on prices but around 60 odd i think. retail.
oh, go for a gen vaux one not a pattern part..they dont last. Wink

Crank sensor as others say. Decent pattern are fine. Had one on mine for a couple of years.
