What would be the best course of action just replace the barrel or a new lock set ?

You could get a replacement barrel from Vauxhall or a locksmith perhaps...if not then the reality is do you want to mess about with a seperate key for the ignition to the rest...or would you rather just replace all the locks...the choice is yours...

If the others work OK, which they probably do woth remote C/L, then just change the ignition barrel.

On a selfish note, please do it soon or I might be meeting you professionally when it stops working altogether!

And on a practical note, you might want to try Medway Security(01634 280555) for a quote on replacing the thing, I find them very helpfull, and reasonably priced too.

Personally I would change the Barrel plus the drivers door lock for known good ones. Stops the chance of not being able to get in your car.  Thumbs Up!
