omega 2.2 dti engine wiring for conversion (Read 971 times)

Mar 2011 at 11:31 I am trying to find out as much as possable adout A omega 2.2 dti engine wiring as ill be fitting it into a classic car! The engine mountings and sump i would get round. but what about the wiring could it be done. is the engine wiring loom separate to main car ? alarm? what would be the basic wiring needed from the omega?

it's quite dificult to make out what you need from your post - is English your first language ?

anyway, the engine wiring must be transferred completely, together with the code-reading whatsit around the ignition switch. From memory, the Frontera Haynes manual has a 2.2DTi wiring diagram, which you should copy and blow up. You'll thenbe able to replicate a loom for your car, and prioritise the feeds that you need.

At start-up, the engine ECU waits for a "handshake" signal to come from the key reader before it'll allow the engine to start. No code = no starty
