Great thanks. How long does the card take to come after joining autobhan stormers?

Before gayboygixer sees this, I would state that the partnumbers given above are for the 'cheap' pads, the OE ones are about £70, and are not on tradeclub.

Personally, I prefer (or should say, have no issues with) the 'cheap' GM pads, but I know gayboygixer and friends are very passionate about this subject Grin

I think I will maintain a preference for the cheaper ones if only to avoid association of any kind of gayboy club. Trade club is preferable  Lips Sealed

Ive used the cheapies, and currently running the OE pads (obtained for less than the cheapies  Cheesy )  can personally feel no difference.

They felt better quality, with shims etc, but in use, find no difference.

Well, I'm glad oe where obtained at a sensible price in that case.

So are we to assume the previous set of tc pads are of a better pad compound...?  Certainly the tc set I have here now fitted to the car as astop gap until new discs are fitted are a worse pedal feel than the previous set that came with the car, which where of less feel than oe.....  Huh

Driving TB's car briefly to the curry house was not a good braking experience by comparison. The Tc pad "dead pedal" feel was very evident, and was as expected tbh..... Although mine currently are not quite as bad as TB's where then. Although they worked obviously. Maybe Tc pads don't take the punishment so well?

Anyway, oe for me next.

Maybe Jimbobs pads had an easier more sensible life?   Undecided

I can assure you any association with a gay club is purely wishful thinking on TB's part. He is persistent though. Grooming I call it.    Grin

You may be right, and the TC pads may be of variable quality.

Thinking back, I had one set i just couldnt stop squealing a few years ago.

changed em and all was fine.

Interesting topic this, as I've been seriously considering  changing the pads in my car. It was fitted with new discs and pads not long before I got it, and I'm not impressed; pedal feel is poor, and they fade quickly. As a friend said of his drum braked, 350engined '57 Chevy, 'It stops great. ONCE!'

I had similar problem with my old e34 525; fitted new pads alround when I got it because the pad wear light was on, and they were hopeless. Changed them some months later for some OE spec ones from ECP at 3 times the price, and the car suddenly became drivable on non motorway roads.

If anything the Omega is worse as it's heavier, effortlessly quick(the 525 needed to be worked hard; one of the reasons I didn't like much), and automatic. As such, it needs good brakes. i might be stopping at Vauxhall for some new pads soon.
