These are the kind of garages that shouldn't be trading.   Angry

Vented on V6 from 2001 onwards (not sure if it exactly ties in with 2.6/3.2 engines)

I think I was getting befuddled with early 2.0 fronts - they were solid iirc. Embarrassed

Nope, all Omega fronts are vented. 2.0 up to 1997 were only 286mm diameter.

IIRC in TIS it says that the vented rear discs were introduced with 2,6/3,2 engines. However, I have seen at least two Omegas (Opel though...  Undecided) that have 3,0 engine and vented discs in the rear...

For the record my Miggy has vented rear discs, which I replaced with Mintex 18 months back and have had no problems, but the calipers are a different story as they are a now a non serviced product. All there is available are remanufactured ones the standard of which leaves a lot to be desired, especially the integrity of the castings as they are  subject to harsh corrosive winter road spray.
