Makes considering a roadhawk a worthwhile investment.

I've had a roadhawk fitted for nearly 2 years now. Runs all the time and I, generally, forget about it... until needed as "evidence" on 2 occasions now it has been useful.

It proved I was stationary when the idiot reversed into the side of me.. even though he was not visible, the impact, both vibration and noise, were recorded and the visuals showed me not moving. result .. the insurers coughed up in full.... even though it took nearly a year... Sad

Second time was when I was traveling behind other cars and a prat decided to change lanes without warning (or looking) and took out the car 3 in front of me. No-one injured but the road blocked by wreckage. When PC Plod turned up I was able to playback the incident on the laptop - fortunately I had it with me - suddenly all attitudes as to who was at fault changed .. ... Smiley I was asked to forward a copy of the clip, which I did, but never heard anything ... I'm guessing the prat copped a plea.

Expensive .. but IMHO worth it.

Yes Mr Steve. The smaller female brain and the lack of spatial awareness is always going to put the girlies at a disadvantage. Not to mention the emotional problems that come with being a woman. How many crazed bints are driving around whilst suffering from PMT/PMS?. Frightening!!!...  Undecided Undecided Undecided Undecided Roll Eyes Smiley

Which reminds me. I'd better text wifey soon. She has one of those coupes with doors like sails and it's very windy at the moment. Also, the handle is very close to the hinge and she hasn't got the strength to close it, never mind hang on to it in a force 9. Sad

my wife is a much better driver than me - her years of hammering a succession of Midgets, Spitfires, Capris, AX GTs and MX-5's round the twisty b-roads of kinrosshire I guess - she'll buy a car for handling and cornering above all else  Thumbs Up!
