well put it this way, much as i'm moved by your obvious concern for our woodland creatures, I don't think I've ever read you chastising any other industry for harming wildlife leading me to conclude that you merely highlight the plight of the bats because you're still tilting at windmills.
Now, a thread from you displaying an ounce of the same concern over oil covered birds in the gulf for example would allay my suspicions that you refuse to acknowledge anything which doesnt fit with your world view.

What utter tosh. When wildlife suffers as a result of an accident, that is one thing - a regrettable, but happily infrequent, occurence. And when birds are affected by oil, there are many actions which are employed, though obviously not with 100% success, to remove the oil and get the birds back into the wild.
Windmills represent an
ongoing danger to wildlife, all day every day that the wind blows. Plus they instantly kill or fatally maim birds/bats.
There is, then, a great difference. I appreciate, though, it may be too complex for you to understand fully.
