Hello Terry & Welcome to the OOF  Thumbs Up!
Try taking the coolant tank cap off (when cold!) & push the float down a few times in case it is sticking. Also you should check that the multiplug underneath the tank is fitted tightly. To do this pull off the steel spring clip holding the tank to the wing & slide the tank an inch or so in towards the engine & it will be free of its holder. Lift it slightly & you will see the plug. Refitting is reverse of above. If neither of these is a fix you may need a replacement tank as the float switch will be goosed.  HTH  Thumbs Up!

As hoofing says, the float inside the header tanks isn't.  Wink You might get a little more life out of it by soaking the whole tank in a caustic solution, but the real cure is a new tank IIRC around £35 .............. and it'll look nice & shiny & new!  Wink Wink Wink Thumbs Up!
