hi all
I have been away for 10 days the car as not been moved. I started up put it in reverse and for about 3 secs or so was no movement then it gradually moved upto full power ie. reversed normaly, its not done it since but i seem to recall it did it once before 12months or so but thought i was imagining it. The question is what could it be and is something failing. The level is correct acording to local garage

initial thoughts remain the ATF level. Check it yourself, as most garages can't work out how to read, and most maintence books have insufficient pictures for the retards

Don't worry about it. My car can easily stand idle for 10 days, & although it won't always do as you described, it will sometimes.

I changed my ATF a couple of years ago and can use a fill/level plug.  Wink Wink

Remember that the ATF should be up to temp, and check with engine running.  Thumbs Up!
