One of them visits the gliding club quite regularly. Sounds gorgeous, IMHO, and it was designed as a trainer for the Soviet air force so it's built like a brick khahzee. -5,+7G and fully aerobatic.
Ah yes, the design mantra of the Soviet air force - "See that barn over there? Yep. Stick some wings on it. Now put a big engine in it. OK, that's our next generation aircraft!"

A bit like the way Americans design cars, really...
