I want an LPG VXR8 Auto with tow bar!

The VXR8 is not type-approved for towing so it can't legally be fitted with a tow bar.

There's also precious little space for an LPG tank. Sad

.. and <splutter> Auto? Shocked

Kevin

Not type Approved yet front drive crap is allowed to tow
Why is the boot so small?
Auto - why you have one as well Tongue

Aussies sell towbars so they must be capable.

Guess they decided they wouldn't sell enough towbars to do the paperwork.

Petrol tank is behind the back seat.

Correct - but the Monaro is a bit less of a mobile armchair, so I wouldn't touch an auto one (did they even make one with a porridge pump)?

Some great scenery here (not the baldy bloke) and mouth-watering sounds.

Paint it matt black and I'll gladly take one. Kiss Kiss Kiss

The VXR8's boot is around 500 litres so not far off the Omega. The small booth with the petrol tank behind the seat is an 05+ model monaro. But no, you cant fit a tow bar - nor should you Smiley

Ohh, OK.. So an earlier one might be better in that respect?

There didn't seem to be many options for LPG tank fitting. Right behind the seat would have been great...

Do you break V6's as often as TheBoy? Then you need tunnie's towing services, recovery costs are just the humiliation of being towed by 2/3's of an engine

Probably not.. but then if anything happened (accident etc, even not your fault) you can guarantee your insurance company would wash their hands of you.. then the police would probably take notice..

Manufacturing without type approval is a big no no, so would have to manufacture a pikey hook from scratch.

Plus the bumpers look fairly low on the back. Omega was designed with pikeys in mind, as the drill holes are pre marked and holes already present in cross members etc. Certainly won't be straightforward, as all the geometry and ride hights are worked out in advance on omega.

It wouldn't get an MOT these days for a start. Wink

And, as said, you would be in a world of grief if you had an accident (which is not unknown, towing a great big windbreak behind you). Wink

Besides... why?
