Minimum thickness of discs
05. Apr 2011 at 19:18

Just changed new pads for all wheels. Discs seemed to be worn e.g. 1 mm/side. Do anyone know the minimum  thickness of discs. I have air cooled both front and back and about 150 000 km behind.

Some discs have the minimum stamped on them...  Undecided Can't remember if they are present on Omega discs, nor have any clue of the minimum

edit: a quick look at the Brembo catalogue it states 18 mm minimum in front, 15mm rear  Thumbs Up!

I'm sure the front disc minimum is a lot higher than that. Its around 25mm iirc.

Haynes say all cars from 98:
front new = 28mm min = 25mm
rear  new = 12mm min = 10mm.

Then I will stand corrected. Sorry. Thought that one could trust the Brembo catalogue...  Embarrassed Lips Sealed

Thanks for all info. Front 28/25 seems to be logical. For some reason I have air cooled discs also back. So they are also quit thick. Have to measure them once again. I already forgot that result.
