As I've mentioned before, get a steady 38mpg from my 3.2 manual 

Pulls cleanly in 5th at 15+mph - so I just use 1st to pull away, then 3rd, then short-shift to 5th.

Don't get me wrong - if I put my toe down, the consumpton goes west BIG TIME    But the only time it does that is trying to teach the local Chav's a lesson on the East Lancs dual carriageway... 

Speaking of that, an Impreza Turbo WRX got the jump on me tonight - I wasn't expecting it, so short-shifted (as usual), then realised this muppet was tryng it on!  So dropped it a cog, and blew him away!

I know they say ex-plod ain't always  tuned, but this thing of mine has some bloody grunt - more than my last ex-plod for some reason
