Omega mini face lift doors
06. Apr 2011 at 21:10

I was told today that the face lift doors are better for resisting rust than my 1997 mini face lift doors, if this is right will my door cards fit on the newer face lift doors?  Thumbs Up!

Minor point ... there is no such thing as an Omega C

Omega A (continental designation) = Carlton (UK designation)

Omega B (continental designation) = Omega (UK designation)

Omega B's come in 3 flavours

Pre-face lift
Mini-face lift
Face lift

Venom! I think you have got hold of the wrong end of the stick. Maybe i should have quoted Entwood's initial reply, but my comment was referring to Nige's edited comment that said an Omega A was a Senator ............ he then corrected his mistake to Carlton. He was calling himself a pratt.  Thumbs Up! Thumbs Up! Thumbs Up!

I was hoping that the loom from my original doors would be OK & fit so I would just swap it over

Thumbs Up!

Rear door looms are easy enough to swap over, double check the connections first, but you might not need to change the rear looms. (I'd robbed a set from a prefacelift car in anticipation of buying an ex plod mobile, they looked to be very similar).

Front door looms are definitely different and require longer/thinner/more double jointed fingers, although with the doors off, so much easier to get at the plugs on the front doors to release the clips.

HTH

Al. Thumbs Up!
