cananyone pleaseplease help a newbie? I have just replaced the glowplugs on my 2.5td cd estate. Although I have tightened the nuts on the inlet manifold and there are no leaks I would like to do the job properly and use
the correct torque settings. Incidentally, having big hands I found the use of a magnetic pickup tool very useful for starting thmore awkward inner nuts.
Here they are John ........
Inlet manifold to cylinder head: 23Nm
Inlet manifold supports: 25Nm
I find it best to use a 3/8" drive 12mm deep-drive
hexagon socket with wobble bar and palm ratchet.
Then suitably tighten/torque 'em.
'PM' me your email address and I'll send you other TD engine torque values.
