2.0 is not DBW, so it won't be a straight swap engine wise.....

Do you break V6's as often as TheBoy? Then you need tunnie's towing services, recovery costs are just the humiliation of being towed by 2/3's of an engine

Been quoted £600 to have torque converter replaced. So was thinking if this fitted I would be better replacing it with a new box and paying a couple of quid to have it fitted.

Given the symptoms, I think you are writing off the existing TC too early.

Have you metered out the cables from the plugs on gearbox back to the TCM?

Really don't know all I know is that I will have to put it back into auto transmission specialist who told me that if it was not the solonoid it would be the TC and woild be £600. No ifs no buts.

Your codes imply 2 different, unrelated solenoid faults, to me that smacks of an electrical/wiring fault.

My expereince of 'specialists' is they aren't

there's a big auto transmission 'specialist' on Trafford Park that told me SWMBO's auto box was stuffed. After a considerable sum of money exchanged the car came back exactly as was before he 'fixed it'. After trying to bull5h1t me .... I got my money back. There are 'specialists' & there are 'specialists'
SWMBO's problem was an electrical fault ie damaged loom.

what code reader are you using to see these codes, and can it be reset?
