Hi there, as im turning sides and fully awake frustrated, i might aswell ask you for your help, Please..

My car has been sitting for about a month now, decided to give her some attention and notice some b@s'turd key'd the nearside wing and another scuffed the corner of my rear bumper. why?? It might not be a 20k motor but does still HURT!!! Angry Angry

But my main concern is i moved the miggy and noticed a puddle of oil, definitely hers. also notice a strong smell of burning oil and can notice some smoke near the headlights.

Took her for a 10 mins drive and can still smell the oil (slow revs heard some tapping noise/tappets? but when sped up the noise did go away and didnt come back..

Parked back in the drive lift the bonnet, and near the left side coilpack but bit lower down on the metal plate can see the smoke coming from there (it doesnt get any better does it).
Got a damp cloth wiped the wet oil (incase that was causing it) but still can see smoke coming out, couldnt pin point the location but must be below the left side injectors somewhere? (bottom plate was also wet so oil was on there too) Sad Sad

its a 3.2 auto
currently 141k
Last serviced Aug 2010 @ 139k
serviced by myself used 5w30 oil exc cambelt..

PS. about a fortnight ago i did have a weak battery issue, called out the AA, upon starting it with a booster after 5secs it made a clank noise (metal banging together noise/similar) but no smoke or nothing split open etc. Huh

The car was revving up and down vigorously, throttle had no response to it, was advised the ecu might have reset and was setting itself up again, and after 10 mins she was idling as normal. could this be where the problem arised from. Huh

i know i have written a fair bit, but just wanted to give a clear idea of what exactly happened, any guidance, advice, symptoms or solutions will be greatly appreciated.. Thumbs Up! Thumbs Up!

Follow the battery test guide in maintenance to diagnose battery or alternator charge.

Oil leak almost certainly cam cover gaskets. Probably still original. Also clean the breather system and check spark plug wells for oil which may well bugger the rubber boots on the dis PACs causing a misfire at a later date if not already. See tip for removing coil pac via threads in the top, do not lever them out with a screw driver etc. Wink

Suggest a general read through of the maintenance and FAQ sections as your awake, it WILL save a lot of time money and agro. A lot more to servicing the omega than cam belt and oil change tbh.  Lips Sealed  Wink
