Hanging up the keys for a while
19. Apr 2011 at 20:49

Not been on for a few weeks.

Giving the mig a rest for a while. Im current travelling from Dudley to Stoke 6 days a week and cant afford the fuel nor want to put heavy mileage on it.

Now temporarily using a T plate fiat Punto that i bought for £250 from work as a part exchange.

Its not till you drive a £250 punto you realise what a proper car omega are but at the moment i cant afford £100 a week in fuel. Cry

Will just use it at the weekend till i sort a job closer to home as im back living in dudley due to personal reasons.

the drawback of only using the Omega once in a blue moon for work, is that when I do, I tend to have to play  Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes because I can  Thumbs Up! Thumbs Up! Thumbs Up!

Er yes.  Grin

I do the same, also find it quite worrying how quickly the speed builds up on a motorway in a V6 Auto without you really noticing it... I have to pay attention to the speedo in the V6 after driving the diesel in the week.

It is when there's a marked 5 series catching you up and you glance down and see you've moved on slightly from the two figure numbers!

Totally agree, by the time you`ve taxed, MOT`d and inured it then put fuel in it`s probably not far off the same expense.
I put 103k on my Senator in three years travelling to and from work, averaging about 29mpg.  Smiley
