Its time to get the other half a new car.

She has always fancied a Ford Puma and is very keen to get one.

Anyone had any experience of them? Any advice welcome.

Thanks guys.

Had a test drive in the 1.7 litre version many years ago. A great handling little car but very small inside. More suitable for women  (small women) rather than men I think... Thumbs Up!

just sold swmbo puma they are a great car (fiesta with a sporty body) the advice i can give is don't buy the 1.4, 1.7 is the quickest and the later one has the 1.6 zetec, they are very noisy, comfy seats that you will need as ride is hard. Avoid total loss cars don't buy blue or green as they are difficult to sell on,look very hard at the rear wheel arches as they rot badly, headlamps are exy so check them.just make sure it has a good history and avoid high miler boy racer cars, other than than that great fun,

key points are rust issues so i'd say go no earlier than say 2000X reg, DEFINATELY the 1.7 is the one to go for, and as far as i know they benefit well from very regular oil changes
