corky Newbie Offline Posts: 20 Gender: Drives: omega 2.2 estate	egr blanking 28. Apr 2011 at 12:28 have seen the egr blanking plates on fleabay, has anybody fitted one and if so what was the result , what does the egr valve actually do ?

His 2.2 Vectra will be more responsive to your 2.2 Omega. Aside from the Vectra being a much lighter car, the 2 engines are completely different.

If anything, fuel consumption will be slightly worse, though not as noticible as diesels which use huge amounts of egr.
