ABS/Speed sensors
01. May 2011 at 12:18

Goog afternoon people.

I am trying to remove (for cleaning) the front wheel ABS/Speed sensors.  Is there a knack to it?  I have removed the small bolt and (according to Haynes) you should be able to withdraw the sensors.  They won't budge.  The two at the rear in diff came out no problem.

The front two have no movement at all, won't twist or pull out.  Don't want to use too much force, don't want to break them.

Any ideas on how to get them out

99% of the time they break when trying to remove. Have you tried giving the reluctor rings a good clean?

If you mean the cog things that spin pass the sensor?  I have given the rears a clean.

ps what would be cost of a replacement nsf, (top lose) and best place to get one from?
