AR35 from 3.2 into 2.5 (Read 3447 times)

Albs Omega King Offline The upgrades are ongoing. Posts: 15083 North Essex Gender: Drives: 2000 2.5CD with LPG/Honda cbr600 FX	AR35 from 3.2 into 2.5 06. May 2011 at 20:34 A member who has a 2.5 with a knacked autobox is interested in the AR35 from my 3.2. He was under the impression that he needed a box from a 3.0 rather than a 3.2. My impression is that they are identical ? Any other info he needs to know to do the swap ? Afaik its just a straight swap.

May 2011 at 20:20 many thanks for the replys guys, makes me feel better about doing the swap, and i thought i would have to keep my tc from the 2.5 as there matched to the engine.

May 2011 at 20:49 I have made a start on removing the box from the 3.2, but I have thought of something which might present a problem. The engine is seized, so I wont be able to turn the crank to undo the torque convertor bolts. Will the box just pull away from the convertor anyway ?
